Our training programs are designed to strengthen clinical skills for professionals working with children, youth, and adults affected by childhood trauma. Led by recognized trauma expert Geraldine Crisci, M.S.M., the sessions emphasize practical strategies, assessment tools, and interventions that support effective care.

Interactive formats, including virtual sessions and webinars, provide hands-on learning and real-world applications to support professional growth and competence. Trouble Engaging in CBT? Working with Limbically Reactive Individuals

Evidence based, trauma-informed cognitive behavioural interventions have assisted numerous children, youth and adults to successfully integrate traumatic experience, however many are not quite ready and have challenges effectively engaging in CBT methods. Participants will focus on specific “hands on” interventions when working with traumatized individuals stuck in a limbically reactive state.

This is a 6-hour training. This course consists of two 3-hour interactive virtual sessions using Zoom.

Recognized trauma-expert, Geraldine Crisci will address current issues related to assessing and treating trauma in children and youth that many clinicians and other staff are facing. Geraldine has 35 years’ experience as a private practitioner specializing in trauma assessment and treatment and has developed protocols, clinical programs and trainings utilized by many sectors.  She will speak to issues that are sure to resonate with professionals working with children and youth.

Sexualized Behaviour in Children: When Clinical Intervention is Necessary

Children raised by nurturing and stable caregivers develop healthy attachments and a secure sense of self. Children raised in neglectful, abusive, or unpredictable environments are at risk of developing attachment disorders and deficits in brain development. Such children present with oppositional, impulsive, aggressive, and mistrustful behavior. They have poor affect regulation and an inability to trust and care for others, and are often very difficult to reach and to treat. These are the children who challenge and drain the resources of parents, caregivers, and professionals.
