Our Team

Geraldine Crisci holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Registered Pyschotherapist with the CRPO. She has over 30 years of experience as a mental health professional specializing in the field of trauma. In her private practice, she provides assessment and treatment services for children, youth, and their families. In addition to her clinical work, Geraldine is a highly regarded trainer who delivers educational programs to professionals in mental health, child protective services, law enforcement, healthcare, and other helping fields.

She developed and teaches the 6-day Trauma Assessment and Treatment Program for Safeguards, which has trained more than 1,500 professionals over the past decade. Geraldine has also created widely used protocols for the assessment and treatment of trauma, sexualized behaviour problems, and sibling sexual abuse.

Shiona Robertson holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO. With 25 years of experience in the helping profession, Shiona has worked extensively in child welfare and mental health services, supporting youth and adults with developmental disabilities.

In Scotland, she managed live-in treatment programs, and since relocating to Toronto, she has dedicated the past 15 years to providing counselling services for children, youth, and families. Shiona specializes in trauma assessment and treatment and has completed both Geraldine Crisci’s Trauma Assessment and Treatment Certification Program and the Sexual Behaviour Assessment and Treatment Certification Program.
